May "No Model" Photo Contest and Challenge Results

May Photo Contest: Winners & Honorable Mentions

Yet another fabulous contest, guys.  The "no model" requirement was meant to stretch your creativity, and I absolutely saw this come through.  Despite the fact that many of you are portrait photographers, there were a plethora of stunning landscapes, gorgeous florals, and some very unique still-lifes.  Thank you once again for all the entries, the thought you put into them, and the beauty you shared.  Yet again, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality I saw, and even though I say this every time, I'm going to say it again:  You guys keep making it harder and harder for me pick just a few to highlight!  Congratulations to you all, and without further ado, here are the winners and honorable mentions.

Top Vote Winner (661 Points):

Our "People's Choice Winner" who received the most votes in the photo contest was Amy Costello Weiss of AW Photography with her entry "Vanishing Act".  Amy comments, "Sometimes, I wish I was a bird and could fly far, far away. I think everyone would like to escape to a quiet sanctuary every now and then... if only to disappear for a little while. For this image, I used the Storm's Edge cloud overlay (clean) and blended it into my still life image. I wanted to evoke a feeling of freedom and flying, and the clouds were the perfect touch."

Textures used: "Storm's Edge" Cloud Overlay

NOTE: Contestants are allowed to win the "People's Choice" portion of the vote contest only once.
