August Photo Contest and Challenge

 Winners and Honorable Mentions

August's theme was "Different World."  I asked you to get inspired by a narrative, reinterpret it, and channel your vision into a photograph.  And channel it you did.  Wow, guys.  I have loved all of the contests, but this one was on a whole new level.  The creativity of your entries completely blew me out of the water and I had to work painstakingly to choose just a few to feature.  Nice work, all of you.  If you haven't already, please take some time to admire your peers' work - it really is incredible.

Top Vote Winner (595 Points):

Our "People's Choice Winner" who received the most votes in the photo contest was Jill Klicman with her entry "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf".  Jill comments, "In this image I wanted to convey the feelings I had as a child when I dreamed over pictures from old fairy tale picture books.  This image and its dreamlike quality and painterly feel is a compilation of many feelings inspired by those stories and pictures from long ago."
Textures used:  Flare 4, Wind 3, Fog 1, Emulsify

NOTE: Contestants are allowed to win the "People's Choice" portion of the vote contest only once.
